The Perito Moreno glacier is a thick ice mass located in the Lago Argentino department, in the province of Santa Cruz.
The Forest collects a group of huge fossil trunks dating from over 65 million years ago. It’s made up with multicolored clay soil, volcanic ash and stocky xerophile vegetation.
It was mainly created because it is a representative sample in a good condition of patagonic coastal biodiversity and preserves fields with paleontological value.
